I took his advice and gave my six year old son’s bedroom a makeover. I love this Jumping Beans 7 piece Full Size Stripe Bedding Set — the colors are perfect for a boy of any age so it can grow with him. The sheets and pillow cases have stars on them and the coordination pieces are “space” themed but since the comforter is plain bold stripes, we can choose another theme. We haven’t gotten that far in the makeover but plan on adding some sports themed wall art.
I liked Ralph’s idea of mixing neutrals with a pop of bright color so I started about by painting the bedroom walls grey. If you’re looking for a big impact on a budget, paint is a great place to start! A gallon of paint only costs around $20 and can really change the look of a room. It’s hard to see the color of the walls because of the lighting but it matches the grey in the comforter really nicely. We’re really happy with the way it turned out and I’m hoping it will inspire my son to keep his room clean!
