Famous Footwear is hosting a fun and rewarding back-to-school contest called “Rock Your School” in which you can win up to $75,000 for the school of your choice as well as a cash prize worth up to $25,000. Do you have school spirit? Famous Footwear wants you to share your dreams for your school whether it’s new technology in the classrooms, creating more substantial arts or sports programs or a better music department. The high school that receives the highest number of votes will win!
For details on how to nominate a high school, participants can visit Facebook.com/FamousFootwear or download the mobile app, Rock Your School, on an iPhone or Android. Entrants must share in at least 250 words how their school would use the funds to make it “rock.” Fans can vote once daily for their favorite entry.
What really makes this contest neat is that the prize depends on the voters. For every vote cast, Famous Footwear will add $1 to the prize, up to $75,000 for the school donation and up to $25,000 for the entrant. Two instant win prizes including $10 Famous Footwear and Converse gift cards, tote bags, T-shirts and more will also be given away daily to voters.
Here’s the timeline for the contest:
- August 5 – September 8: Nominate your high school
- September 16 – October 5: Fans will be able to vote on their favorite finalists
- On or about October 21: The grand prize winner will be announced
