If you are like me, you can use at least another whole day to take care of last minute holiday preparations. If you are in a bind and need some extremely last minute gift ideas, you’re in luck because I have a few for you!
- Magazine Subscriptions
– Not only are these very reasonably priced, you can find one for almost anyone on your list. From Sesame Street to Highlights for toddlers and young children, Time, People, Martha Steward Living, Sports Illustrated etc. for everyone in between, it’s a gift that keeps on giving for a whole year (or longer!) Plus, many titles are available at grocery stores, Target or even mini marts so it’s easy to throw one in a gift bag with a note that lets the recipient know that more are on the way!
- eGift Certificates- So many merchants are offering printable or emailable gift certificates that are available instantly. If you are really in a bind, this is the way to go.
- Entertainment Book– This is one of my favorite gifts to give families because there are so many useful coupons for fun things like trips to the zoo or children’s museum, coupons for movies and dinner (think date night!) and so much more! Right now it’s on sale for $5 off and free shipping. You obviously won’t get it in time but a nice card telling the recipient that it’s on the was should suffice.
- Send a gift basket or flowers- This is NOT frugal at all but having flowers delivered really makes people feel special. It’s a good option for long distance friends or relatives that you missed the cutoff date for mailing gifts to because local delivery services should still be able to deliver in time.
