On my husband’s side, we have 10 nieces and nephews out of only two of his siblings. Three of his siblings haven’t even started having kids yet! Sometimes it gets pressing because that is a lot to buy for. Plus, they range in age from 20 down to not even 1. Sometimes I do good getting my own kids their Christmas gifts that it is hard for me to think about what all of the other children could want/use. So, last year I started buying movie gift cards. Movies have gotten so expensive lately that nobody can afford to go anymore!
So, I just wanted to share with you an idea for that hard to buy child and/or adult. I purchased the plastic movie popcorn holders from Target over the summer in their $1 section. I bought movie gift cards with a value of $10 each. Then, I purchased king-sized candy that you could get at the movies. I put them all together and stuffed the bottoms with recycled shredded paper that came from a box that was shipped here. Then, I am putting all of them into gift bags. I could’ve been more thrifty, but I was a little late doing these at the last minute that I didn’t quite use my head. If I do it again next year, I am going to skip the gift bags and put them in the clear bags you can buy somewhere like Hobby Lobby and tie a bow around the top. I will also buy the candy on sale or through CVS for example when they have a deal.
This gift cost me a total of $13 where it’s hard to find a toy for less than $15!
Another idea/tradition I want to start next year is to start buying them ornaments every year. My great grandmother used to do this and I looked forward to the ornament every year. Sure, it’s not fun like a toy, but it’s a memory they will have as they are older.

That is a really great gift idea! I have done that before with an actual movie, popcorn and candy.
They will love them! They look like so much fun!
This is my mom's great idea but I thought it was cute. We have 2 sets of cousins that are all girls (each family has 3 girls) So she got them each a board game that all the girls could play, a pair of PJ pants and some microwaveable popcorn and some candy. Wrapped it all up really cute in a gift bag so that they have a "sleepover party" under the tree! Only cost about $30 by getting things on sale! I know I would have loved that gift!
I have done the movie themed popcorn containers for gifts. Hit the after Christmas sales to buy your clear bags, also you can sometimes find them at the Dollar Tree. I usually do them with a gift card for a movie rental instead.
