How many times have you heard your kids say that they’re bored this summer? I’ve done my best to keep my kiddos busy with activities but there are still days that we’re home and things get a little dicy. When they’re bored, they tend to fight with each other. That’s when I bust out a project for them! Works almost every time. Last week we tried the Foil Art Jewelry Sticker Kit from Peaceable Kingdom. It was a huge hit.

“Not familiar with foil art? Foil Art is a lot like coloring a picture, but with foil instead of crayons or markers. Kids get to see the end result so quickly and this product line has been a huge hit with both girls and boys. Unlike art made with crayons, markers or paint, Foil Art leaves no mess to clean up. The foil only sticks to the sticky areas of the picture or jewelry you’re creating!”
My four year old daughter was over the moon creating her own sparkly jewelry. Even my 6 year old son got in on the action. To be honest, I couldn’t help myself and instead of working while they were occupied like I should have, I joined in the fun too! It was super neat! You just peel off the “backing” of the area you want color on, smooth down the foil sheet over it and then pull it off. It’s so simple but oddly fulfilling! McKinley worked on her art for the better part of an hour before I had her clean up, which I must mention, is a snap. This project is no-mess! Just put the supplies back in the box and throw away the sticker backing pieces you’ve peeled. It’s no wonder that the Foil Art Jewelery Sticker Kit was nominated for the 2013 ASTRA (American Specialty Toy Retailing Association) “Best Toys for Kids” award — we loved it!
The Foil Art Jewelry Sticker Kit (recommended for ages 6+) retails for only $15 and comes with everything you need to make paper bracelets, necklaces and more including 28 sheets of holographic foils, pendants and cord for stringing the jewelry.
