When I heard about [amazon_link id=”B00FBWFVK6″ target=”_blank” ]Barbie Potty Training Taffy[/amazon_link] I couldn’t help but giggle. A Barbie doll with a dog that actually poops? My girls have been wanting a dog and I keep telling them I don’t want a dog because they poop. Now we have a toy to demonstrate! This toy however is way more fun than the real thing. My kids LOVE picking up poop!
The Barbie Potty Training Taffy set comes with Taffy the dog, removable collar, a treat box with 5 dog bones, a dog dish, and leash. It also comes with 5 poop pellets, a pooper scooper and a trash can. Barbie herself comes dressed in pink capris paired with a blue t-shirt printed with hearts and bows and matching blue strappy wedges.
Taffy the dog is super cute. Push down on her head and she opens her mouth to eat her dainty little dog treats. Don’t forget to take her for a walk so she can do her duty! Press down on her tail and she poops. Use the pretty pink pooper scooper to clean up the mess by sliding the heart-shaped slide mechanism on the handle to open, scoop, and close, then drop the mess into the trashcan.
My six year old son even likes playing with Taffy. This toy not only entertains all 3 of my kids (the girls are 3 & 5) but it entertains me too. I find it amusing when I over hear them saying things like “Where did the poops go?” This toy does have tiny pieces that are easily misplaced. There are only five bones and 5 “poops” so I have to be careful when I sweep the kitchen because I often have to tell the kids to come pick up their poop.
It’s much too fun to teach them about the reality of dog ownership but it’s a fun toy nonetheless. The [amazon_link id=”B00FBWFVK6″ target=”_blank” ]Barbie Potty Training Taffy set[/amazon_link] retails for around $20.
