I have a tendency to be drawn towards unique gifts rather than the traditional. If you’ve got a “green” dad or one that is particularly fond of wood working you have to check out JORD wood watches. The bands and watch faces are hand crafted entirely from 100% natural wood.
I got to check out the Ely series watch in Natural Green Maple. It’s really cool! This watch is one of Jord’s small-face designs. It features a 26mm diameter scratch-proof glass face and a band width of 21.5mm. The only numbers on this watch appear in the Premium Citizen Miyota movement date window, a feature I really appreciate — I can never remember what day it is!
The watch is lightweight and the band is smooth making it comfortable to wear. It uses a single action stainless steel locking clasp as a closure. The watch is “splash proof” but shouldn’t be completely submerged in water. Each Jord timepiece is completely unique due to the grain patterns and colors of the wood used to make them. These one of a kind watches would make a fabulous graduation gift for a young man and the $129 price tag is very reasonable for the quality of these unique pieces.
