I’m getting to that age where I look at my skin and wish I could turn back time. I’m in my early 40’s and starting to get wrinkles around my eyes. I also still struggle with acne, some oversized pores and uneven skin tone. I recently discovered DermRoller, a hand-held beauty device that is also known as a micro-needle roller.
The DermRoller might look and sound a little scary but I can assure you that it’s not as scary as it seems. It’s a minimally invasive treatment with multiple benefits. It works by creating thousands of tiny pricks or miniscule holes in the skin. The controlled skin injury stimulates the body to heal the micro-wounds by releasing collagen and elastin and allowing new and healthy tissue to replace older, damaged and imperfect skin.
I’ll admit, I was very hesitant at first because I wondered if this was even safe! The DermRoller comes hygienically sealed. The directions say to soak it in alcohol for 5 minutes before using. You definitely want to make sure it is clean and sanitized before each use. You should also make sure your skin and hands are clean as well.
You gently roll the DermRoller up and down, then diagonally in both directions across your cheeks, chin, forehead and nose. It doesn’t hurt and is only very slightly uncomfortable. You should follow the treatment with a quality serum or skincare product which can now very easily penetrate the skin deeper than it normally would.
By using the DermRoller regularly (I use it once a week), you can treat common problems like wrinkles and fine lines, aging skin, scars, stretch marks and more. This tool can also be used for pigmentation issues, cellulite treatment and even hair regeneration! At the very least you’ll have smoother, softer skin that is firmer and more supple than before.

I got the gold DermRoller in the 0.5 needle size. This size needle covered all of my needs and fit nicely into my beauty regimine. I love that I only have to use it once per week.
