If I could create a new food group for the food pyramid, it would be CHEESE. I always say “you can never have too much cheese” which isn’t true of course. But I love cheese in all it’s various forms, especially the spreadable type. Alouette has recently introduced a new line of cheese dips to their already fantastic collection of products and my family had the chance to sample them.
The new dips combine vegetables and savory herbs. They are made from rBST-fre Grade A milk and cream. At only 50 calories and 2.5 grams of fat per serving, these dips are a great snack option, especially when paired with vegetables for dipping! They are also great on crackers or served with chips or mini breads.
The new flavors include:
Onion Medley
Savory blend of Vidalia onions, leeks and chives combine with decadent creamy cheese for a bold, flavorful upgrade on the most iconic and party-pleasing dip flavor.
Cucumber Ranch
Crunchy cucumber pieces and premium soft cheese create a refreshing, crisp dip in America’s best-selling flavor since the ‘90s, pairing perfectly with fresh vegetables or chips
Mediterranean Vegetable
Combining fire-roasted eggplant, crunchy zucchini and sweet red peppers with savory herbs like oregano, cilantro, cumin and rich, creamy cheese make for a sophisticated dip
All three flavors were a hit in our family but I think Onion Medley came out on top with Mediterranean Vegetable a close second. Before sampling, we picked Cucumber Ranch as the winner. We loved it but liked the other two flavors even more! Which do you think would be YOUR favorite?
