Every summer we look forward to picking blueberries at a nearby farm. We normally kick off the season with blueberry picking and free Slurpees on 7/11 for my mom’s birthday but we were out of town this year. We picked our first batch when we returned from vacation and stuck with our second tradition — trying a new blueberry recipe. This year we picked Lemon Blueberry Bread.
We doubled the recipe and used more blueberries than the recipe called for and we think it turned out fantastic! Even my hubby who isn’t a huge blueberry fan was raving about this bread — so yummy!
The glaze on this bread tasted great but mostly absorbed into the bread. I’m not sure how to avoid this problem — maybe applying it in two layers letting one set first? At any rate, this recipe is a keeper!
