This is how it works: prove that men ARE wearing the pants and that #chivalryisnotdead – especially on Valentine’s Day. Post a comment (and if possible a pic) to our blog about what your guy did for you on Valentine’s Day (past or for this year) and we will select 5 winners at random to receive a free pair of khakis.
You have to post by Noon on Tuesday (Feb 16) – so after sleeping in on President’s Day, get to your computer and give me the scoop.
Good luck!
My husband is cleaning the house for me on Valentine’s Day.
He’s usually not a Valentine’s Day kind of guy, but Friday, the FTD man rang the doorbell with goodies (I guess he’s a softy at heart)!!!!!
My husband treated me to a Valentine’s Day lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant!
I spent the day at home with the family.
Thanks,
My Hubby worked an entire day of overtime for me…he is a telephone repairman and that means he is out in this nasty, wet cold weather climbing poles and fixing phones that are out of service. We spent the rest of the evening cuddling and watching tv…after 30yrs of marriage it works for us. He is my Hero!
when my husband and I were dating, we had made a commitment to save ourselves ourselves for marriage so it was not our habit to put ourselves in a situation where temptaion would arise. However on Valentine’s day that year he asked me to come to his house after work and I trusted him. When I walked in, he had the lights dimmed and asked me to go to the bathroom, there he had soft music playing, cadles light and rose petals scattered everywhere – even in the bubble bath which he had already prepared for me. He told me to take my time and soak and put on my new outfit he had laid out for me. WOW – no one had ever done that before for me, especially not expecting anything in return. After my long soak I got dressed and came out to find him just finishing up a romantic dinner for two. We sat ther by candle light and held hands while we ate. It was one of the sweetest things he’s ever done for me!
My husband has been extremely busy with work both at his place of employment, at church and here at home, so I wasn’t expecting ANY gift of any kind this Valentine’s Day. When I went to find my pajamas the night before, I discovered a gold gift wrapped box and a card. Inside the box was a pair of silver heart earrings and a sweet note in the card. On Valentine’s Day, he insisted on buying lunch out so I could “take the day off!” I enjoyed that maybe more than the earrings. 🙂
I wish I would have seen this earlier I would have taken a pic b/c with my husband #chivalryisnotdead and my husband definitely wears the pants. For Valentine’s Day he cooked me a fabulous dish scallops with asparagus. He set the table with our good china and it was perfect we sipped wine and ate a fancy meal while the kids enjoyed chicken nuggets on plastic plates right next to us, a perfect marriage of our life! After I put the kids to bed I came out to a candlelit room and we danced to a play list of songs that have meaning for us. My husband is the best and I had a great Valentine’s Day.
We usually don’t celebrate Valentines day, but this year, I woke up at 10 am. (awesome sleep finally!) to a clean house- my husband did laundry, dishes, swept the floors, and made a huge breakfast with the kids! Awesome!
My husband let me sleep in and he watched my 20 month son. I woke up to bananna pancakes, sausage and bacon.
My husband cleaned the kitchen and straightened up the living room! Thanks for the chance!

Basically, he took me out for ice cream, made me cake truffles from scratch, and hung up our new curtains!!
He’s the best!
My husband gave me card and some Reese’s. For dinner he took me out to eat at my favorite local restaurant. I had some lovely corn chowder and cheese biscuits, my favorite midday meal on a cold winter day.
My husband is nice to me all year round. It’s not just what he does on Valentine’s that counts for me. It’s the way he expresses his love and respect every day of the year… he provides for me and the kids, he’s funny and caring, and a good Christian man. I couldn’t ask for more!
My husband let me sleep in while he watched our extremely active 1 1/2 year old — and cleaned up the kitchen, too. He’s the best!
My hubby bought me a really cute pair of shoes!
My husband shoveled our walk after we returned home from a long and tiring vacation!
