I recently “met” Angela Croop via Facebook. She offered to send me a couple of her handmade tutus to help her get the word out about her small business. Fly Avi Fly was founded after her precious daughter Avi passed away from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. She needed away to channel her grief but more importantly, she needed a way for her daughter to live on. Now she makes unique infant clothing to share with others with inspiration from her daughter going into each piece. Part of the proceeds from each sale are donated to the SIDS Foundation for research.
Since my youngest baby is turning 7 next week, Angela sent two custom tutus for my precious baby niece, Payton. First and foremost, Payton is her brother’s biggest fan. He plays high school football and his colors are green, black and gold. She loves wearing her single layer tutu to his games and clapping for him and the team.
Secondly, she wouldn’t be from Washington if she wasn’t a 12th man cheering on the Seattle Seahawks. This tutu is a festive triple layer tutu that offers a bit more fullness and spunk. I love how Angela tied all the team colors together. The tutu is ALMOST as adorable as the baby wearing it.
October is the anniversary of Avi’s loss. Wouldn’t it be awesome for a record sales month? Her tutus are very affordably prices and great for so many occasions. She even makes adult sizes! Are you running a race where dressing up in something fun is encouraged? Have a tutu made! Halloween is also right around the corner and the right tutu will add the finishing touch to so many different types of costumes.
A kids single layer tutu is only $15. The triple layer one just $20. They are well made and the stretchy waistband will allow you or your child to wear even with slightly varying waistlines. For more info and to see other Fly Avi Fly products visit www.flyavifly.com.
