Normally I use DOLE Frozen fruit to create awesome and easy smoothies for my family. I wanted to try something a little different and since I’ve been obsessed with this coconut syrup recipe, I decided to make what I call Tropical Delight with Coconut Drizzle. It’s pretty simple dessert recipe to make and tastes delicious. I’m not a food blogger and clearly not a food photographer but take my word for it, this dessert tastes a lot better than it looks!
I just used a sponge cake boxed mix in a bread pan for the base of this dessert. You don’t need eggs, oil or anything but water and the cake mix so it’s quite simple to whip up a loaf of this yummy cake.
I thawed a half a bag of Dole Wildly Nutritious Tropical Fruit on a plate for about 30 minutes then added it to the top of a slice of sponge cake. Using some coconut syrup I had left over from my Strawberry Coconut Chocolate Shortcake recipe, I drizzled it over the top and added some whipped cream and shredded sweetened coconut. The coconut really kicked the tropical flavor up a notch creating a mouth-watering summer dessert that can be enjoyed anytime of year thanks to Dole Frozen Fruit!
The Dole Wildly Nutritious Blend features a colorful mix of pineapple, mango, golden kiwi, papaya and strawberries. The strawberries are whole with the other fruits are generous sized chunks. This blend offers essential vitamins and nutrients that help support a healthy diet with vitamin C and vitamin A. While delicious as a dessert topping this blend also makes a great snack. My kids really enjoyed gobbling up this fruit while it was still partially frozen for a yummy treat. It’s also awesome in smoothies!help support a healthy diet, such as vitamin C and vitamin A.
I actually really loving all of Dole’s frozen fruit products for delicious snacking this summer. I don’t always have time to make smoothies so I love the DOLE Smoothie Shakers. All you have to do is add a little bit of juice and shake it up for an instant smoothie on the go.

We also cannot resist Dole Dippers! These are such a fun and healthy treat that come in single serving packages making them excellent for those watching their calorie intake (only 60-120 calories per pack!) as well as easy on-the-go snacking. Chose from Chocolate Covered Strawberry Halves (4 halves per package) or Chocolate Covered Banana Slices with or without almonds (4 slices per package). Each box comes with a package of 6. Dippers are best enjoyed after thawing for about 10 minutes and are totally delicious!
There’s a wide variety of Dole Frozen Fruits for all of your favorite recipes or for snacking plain. As I mentioned before, we really enjoy these in smoothies and it makes it super easy to always have healthy fruits on hand! Just this morning we had the Dole Wildly Nutritious Berry Blend as a smoothie with milk and yogurt. It was SO good! You can find out more about these products and more at www.dole.com.
