Before our son was even born, my husband was chomping at the bit to get him involved in sports. His nursery had a sports theme, he had plush balls rather than teddy bears and for Christmas I had to talk him out of buying basketball hoop for our 8 month old. My son is three years old now and finally starting to show an interest in sports, my to my husband’s delight. The creator of the E-Z Bat was actually a grandfather who wanted to give his grandson the thrill of hitting a home run with every swing. Not only is it fun, but it’s great for practicing your technique. It can be frustrating for Jackson trying to hit balls pitched to him. He is only three after all! Even using a T- ball tee it can be difficult to get a good hit. With E-Z Bat your child gets a hit EVERY time. The balls have a hole in the middle and slide onto the bat. When the bat is swung, the ball sails off as if you hit a pitch. They can also be pitched the traditional way when the player is ready.
A couple of weeks ago we walked down to the middle school baseball field so Jackson would have lots of room and the perfect place to try out the E-Z Bat. He had SO much fun! Some of the swings weren’t so great and the ball went foul but he had plenty of “home runs”. I tried to take some video but it was hard because my one year old kept running off and I’d have to go catch her. This was the best I could get:
