Did you know that research has shown that kids spend as little as 7 minutes per day outside in nature play yet up to 7 hours per day in front of a screen? All three of my kids enjoy outside time as well as screen time but the majority of their outdoor time is spent on sports. I’d love them to get back to nature a bit and do some exploring! EnviroKidz (the top kids organic cereal brand) launched a new nature discovery program for kids called ‘ecokeepers’ that is really awesome and will get kids excited about being outdoors. It combines outdoor learning and geocaching to make it super fun for kids.
My kids are already huge fans of geocaching — it’s a modern day treasure hunt that uses GPS on smartphones to find hidden treasures. If you haven’t tried it yet, do! You can get a geocaching app for free and find caches around your town. I guarantee your kids will LOVE it!
In a survey of parents, 94% said they would like schools to help their kids get outside and discover nature. The free ecokeepers program makes it easy for school and camp programs to do just that! ecokeepers can be used in nature trails, local parks, schoolyards and city neighborhoods. Nature can be found anywhere! Each ecokeepers program kit includes: 12-page, passport-sized explorer guides for kids to capture their observations, a geocache to customize and hide, parent resources plus EnviroKidz organic peanut-free bars to help support a healthy snack break while on their journey. The explorer guides are really cool and a big help in getting kids to have fun exploring nature. I’m passing all of this info on to my kid’s teachers because I think it’s a great resource!
EnviroKidz recently launched the industry’s first peanut-free, organic and gluten-free granola and crispy rice bars for kids. They are available in four flavors — Chocolate, Chocolate Chip, Berry Blast and Strawberry. These gluten-free bars are packed with rolled oats or wholegrain brown rice to provide lasting energy for kids while they’re on the go and enjoying nature. EnviroKidz donates 1% of all product sales to help support animal conservation and education. To date, the company has donated over $2.6 million dollars to animal charities around the world! Plus, these are great snacks for classrooms with allergies as they are also peanut-free!

Hey, just wanted you to know the link for the sponsors twitter does not work. I found them by doing a search only because I had worked with them before. Their name has a z on the end. Hope this helps.
Oh, you are right! Thanks so much for pointing that out. I’ll get it changed right away 🙂
