I think so! Wondering what to do with those free plastic eggs you got at CVS now that Easter is over? I filled mine with snacks for my 10 month old- dried fruit, goldfish crackers, cereal etc. I keep one in my purse and pull it out when he gets cranky. Since he hasn’t figured out how to open them yet, it starts out as a toy. He loves to shake it like a rattle. Once he gets bored of that I open it up and feed him his snack. It’s great for shopping trips. It keeps him occupied while I get my errands done.

Great idea. The only thing I’d check into is that I know a lot of those eggs were found to have high levels of lead in them and I’d worry about food in them if you have the made in china ones with lots of lead. Also, does your LO spill them ever? I always worry about messes in stores.
Anon- I’m not sure where the eggs were made. I hadn’t heard anything about them containing lead. I feed the snack to my son as he isn’t old enough to be able to hold onto it without spilling.
