Are essential oils just a fad? The simple answer in my opinion is no. Essential oils have been around for thousands of years and have been used with success for many generations. Twenty years ago my mom became intrigued with them and the family became her guinea pigs. I was a teenager at the time and thought she was a little crazy but many of her remedies worked for me! Today, with the use of social media, more and more people are becoming aware of the benefits of essential oils. For most people, it just takes a little bit of an open mind and willingness to give them a try. Once they do and are happy with the results, they want to share their experience with anyone who will listen! That’s why you are seeing so much “hype” in your Facebook feed and Twitter timeline. The word is spreading and the trend will continue to grow and gain in popularity as people experience the benefits that essential oils can offer.
I believe that people are born skeptics. How can an oil actually have health benefits? But even skeptics are being converted to believers. That’s how powerful testimonies are. If it works for so many other people, why not give them a try? A group of bloggers and Young Living consultants have put together The Skeptics Guide to Using Essential Oils. These blog posts will debunk myths, explain some of the ways to use oils and answer questions about the business side of the brand.
When you sign up either as a retail or wholesale member you’ll join a team of fellow explorers on a journey to better health. This group provides support and answers to everything Young Living and essential oil related via a Facebook group page. It’s an awesome group of people all willing to share their knowledge and experience as they travel the path to living a healthier lifestyle together.

Very interesting. I am a skeptic too, but find them so appealing
Richard, I am definitely drawn to certain essential oils, if not for their health benefits, just for the fragrance! You can diffuse them into the air, make reed diffusers, candles or sachets, scent your laundry — so many uses even for the skeptics! 😉
I have yet to try Essential Oils. I have heard so many positive things about them!
Maralea, you’re missing out! 🙂 There are SO many positive things! Let me know if I can answer any questions for you or if you’re ready to give them a try!
Essential oils are not a fad for me.
I have maybe five favorites that work for me like a charm.
I believe everyone is different how they respond to various oils.
And my favorite is Young Living!
Barbara — which ones are your favorite and what do you use them for?
