Fancy Nancy & the Fabulous Fashion Boutique Review & Giveaway

Fancy Nancy fans rejoice!  A new book was just released and it’s as fancy as ever with it’s glittery embossed dust jacket and detailed illustrations by Robin Preiss Glasser.  Fancy Nancy’s sister has a birthday party coming up and after she spends almost all her money on her sister’s gift she spies a beautiful lace fan that she has been coveting on the bargain table.  It’s a great price but she doesn’t have enough money.  She comes up with a brilliant (that’s fancy for supersmart) idea.  She opens her own fabulous fashion boutique to sell some of her old gowns and accessories.  She’s quite the sales lady!  Business is good until the birthday girl objects to Nancy selling a pretty rhinestone necklace to a friend and tries to buy it for a penny instead.  Nancy sells it anyway.  In the end, Nancy comes through as the best big sister a girl could ask for.

Fancy Nancy and the Fabulous Fashion Boutique written by Jane O’Conner is a heartwarming story that teaches the value of sisterhood.  Nancy introduces some fancy words to go along with all of her other fanciness is this and other books in the Fancy Nancy series.

Since I have two daughters, I personally loved the book and my oldest daughter who just turned two loved it as well!  I love the colors and details in the illustrations and the way Nancy likes to use her fancy words.  I can only hope that my girls will have a relationship like Nancy and her little sister!
