During the summer we get tend off track a bit nutrition-wise but as the school year draws near I gear up, preparing for busier schedules, knowing my kids will need quality fuel to get them through very full days with school and sports. Healthy, ready-made product that my kids enjoy eating make my life so much easier. That’s why I love Garden Lites Sweet Muffins.
Veggies are the first and primary ingredient in every Garden Lites product . They are also gluten free, nut free, soy free, non-GMO and Good House Keeping Nutritionist approved, definitely something you can feel good about feeding to your family!
Did you know that only 1 in 10 Americans eat the daily amount of recommended veggies? I can believe it! I know I struggle getting veggies into my kid’s diets. With Garden Lites Sweet Muffins, my kids don’t even realize they are eating their vegetables!
Don’t let the slightly green hue deter you from Garden Lites Blueberry Oat Muffins. The fresh zucchini combined with the blueberries are what gives them a greenish tint but the zucchini is what keeps them moist! This flavor is at the top of 2 out of my 3 kid’s favorite list. You can’t even taste the veggies!
The Banana Chocolate Chip Flavor is another favorite. These are also made with fresh zucchini. In fact, it’s the first ingredient! The muffins are sold in the frozen section of the grocery store. Pop them in the microwave for about 30 seconds and you’ll enjoy a muffin that tastes fresh baked!
The Double Chocolate Muffins come in 3rd place, only because my kids aren’t huge chocolate fans. Myself? I love this flavor for my chocolate fix and love that I am also getting my veggies in. This flavor is made with zucchini AND carrots! They are a good source of fiber and taste like a lava cake! As an alternative to microwaving these muffins, just thaw at room temperature for four hours. That makes them a perfect side/treat for the lunch box!
With all the veggies, I’m not opposed to my kids having a muffin with their breakfast. These will also be one of our go-to after school snacks to satisfy their cravings and fuel them up for practice.

These are soooooo good! I bought a box at Costco and devoured them yet when I went back they weren’t there anymore! I really, really need to find out where to buy more!!!!
