Giada Review & Giveaway

Target is now carrying Giada de Laurentils products.  If you didn’t already know, Giada is an Emmy award-winning chef.  These new products make dinnertime easy and delicious.  Here’s a sampling of the 20 products available at your local target.

• Organic Galletti- This enriched pasta product is a really neat shape.  I made a pasta salad for the 4th of July and everyone asked me where I got the cool noodles.  Other varieties of pasta are also available for $2.49 per 1 lb box
• Tuscan-Style White Bean & Fire Roasted Garlic Soup Starter Mix-  This is a great way to make soup at home- so easy!  The box called for bacon but I had leftover ham which I think works just as well.  Other flavors of Soup Starter are also available for $3.49 each
• Herb & Lemon Dipping Oil- Dipping oils are great with french bread as an appetizer and to me feel sort of fancy even though it’s super easy and doesn’t cost much (2.99 a bottle)
• Pepper & Eggplant Tomato Spread- Honestly, I wasn’t quite sure to do with this one. The jar says it can be used on meat, with pasta or on bread but I’m not a fan of eggplant or tomato so I didn’t try it. It also comes in Black Olive Tapenade and sells for $2.99 a jar.

I think it’s pretty cool that Target sells this neat little line of Giada products.  It’s fun to try new things and add some variety to the monotonous menu rut we’ve gotten in to around here.
