Today’s Tip from The Green Year: 365 Small Things You Can Do to Make a Big Difference: Research options for carpooling
“Instead of driving alone, share a ride with a co-worker or ask a neighbor to take turns shuttling the kids to school. You’ll save on gas and help reduce your carbon footprint.
Put up a flyer at work to see if others in your office are interested in carpooling, check out local ride-share programs online, or post a message about carpooling on your local community website. You can also call your local transit agency to ask about resources for carpoolers. Many agencies offer free parking at pic-up/drop-off locations and some even help match carpoolers who have similar routes.”
