Applebee’s provided me with a $50 gift card for this review. I was not compensated in any other way.
Yesterday was Monday and we had an unexpected day off from sports. We celebrated by heading to Applebee’s for the 2 for $20 deal and Dollaritas! What better way to enjoy a Monday than $1 margaritas! You can take advantage of this deal too at your local Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar during their month long celebration of Applebee’s Neighborhood Appreciation Month throughout October.
Applebee’s Dollaritas are a delicious combination of tequila and Applebee’s own margarita mix recipe, served icy cold in a 10-ounce mug with or without salt on the rim. It pairs perfectly with the 2 for $20 deal!
We started with our favorite appetizer — Honey Barbecue Boneless Wings. It’s the perfect size to share and snack on with your Dollarita!
For my entree I choose the Grilled Chicken Breast with Bacon and Beer Cheese Topper. It came with 2 sides so I picked garlic mashed potatoes and green beans with bacon. The entire meal was delicious!
The hubs picked the Whiskey Bacon Burger. It came with fries. The burger looked so good, I might order it myself next time and hubby said it was great! I love those crunchy onions on my chicken and think they would also be good on this burger!
My kids love eating out because they get to make their own choices. Applebee’s has a great kids menu with options for larger appetites. My youngest chose these sliders with yogurt and strawberries. My oldest daughter sticks with what she knows and got the chicken strips. She did switch it up with mozzarella sticks as her side option. My son had the grilled cheese and fries. All of these kids meals came with unlimited drinks so the orange tangerine juice and chocolate milks were flowing!
We finished up with dessert. My husband and I shared the Triple Chocolate Meltdown which is like a very rich lava cake served with ice cream. I wish I could have eaten more than a bite or two but I was so full from polishing off my entire meal!
My kids ordered their own desserts from the kids menu. These are only $1.99 so a great deal! McKinley got an Oreo Sundae while Jackson and Parker enjoyed a strawberry milkshake with whip cream on top — delicious!
I love that Applebee’s is such an affordable option for families when dining out. Even with drinks, dessert and an appetizer, we came in at just over $50 for a family of five! That’s a great deal! Be sure to stop in at your local Applebee’s before the end of the month to get your Dollaritas!

Too bad there are no applebees where I live.
The 2 for $20 is a great deal! That chicken looks delicious.
