My kids are big cereal eaters. Recently, their favorite has been Honey Bunches of Oats. We were at Target the other day when my son spotted a box that was different than what we usually get. It was the new Fruit Blends. We tried the Raspberry and Peach flavor. My three year old and five year old literally fight over the bowl that looks like it has the most clusters. Luckily, Honey Bunches of Oats has added more of those delicious granola bunches to every box.
While sweet, Honey Bunches of Oats is still healthier than many alternatives. In fact, it has less sugar per serving than Honey Nut Cheerios. Honey Bunches of Oats also has 10 grams of whole grain and zero grams of trans fat, saturated fat and cholesterol. Nine essential vitamins and minerals can be found in Honey Bunches of Oats so I don’t have to feel too guilty about pouring a bowl of cereal rather than making a hot breakfast on busy mornings. With 10 different flavors, Honey Bunches of Oats never gets boring. I think we need to try banana blueberry next — Yum!
