A couple of weeks ago I was blowdrying my hair when smoke started swirling out of my hair dryer. It was crazy! I think it almost caught on fire. I shut if off immediately and the next day it still worked but seemed to be losing power. It was definitely time for a new one! I was drawn to the bright orange color of the Hot Tools® Turbo IONIC® Dryer ($70.00, Ulta) but it’s also available in black. It’s compact making it perfect for small bathrooms or dorm room yet it’s still powerful and effective with 1875 watts and supercharged tourmaline airflow.
I’ve been really happy with how quickly this hair dryer dries my hair. There six heat/speed option for control of temperature and air flow including a cool shot. I like to use the high heat and speed setttings. The removable concentrator offers precise drying to help me get a smooth blow out. I’m desperately in need of a trim but this dryer helps fight the frizz, especially on the ends with it’s pro-moisture system with Ion Technology with Tourmaline that locks in moisture for soft, manageable hair. This is achieved by generating positive and negative ions when heated which also helps hair maintain it’s shine.
Last but not least, this extra quiet hairdryer is lightweight making it easy to use — my arm doesn’t get tired! I generally don’t use any product in my hair, just blow dry and go. As you can see, this hair dryer does a pretty good job! Normally I like to go over it with a flat iron but don’t need to with this! I’d definitely recommend the Hot Tools Turbo IONIC Hair Dryer if you are in the market for a new hair dryer for back to school!
