I feel like most parents have a love/hate relationship with screens when it comes to their children. I know I do! Life may have been simpler and less difficult before screens but it so many ways, they also make life easier! You just have to find the right balance and a good device to help you achieve it. The new Y88x 7 Tablet from Dragon Touch is an affordable option that offers a lot of value.
It comes with a colorful (blue or pink) protective case already on it. The case doubles as a stand so the device can be propped up to watch videos or play games. It also comes pre-loaded with 20 officially authorized Disney audio books and a pre-installed KIDOZ app that gives you access to thousands of free apps, games, videos and filtered websites that are safe for kids and do not have any ads or in-app purchase options. This is a $120 value!
I love that this tablet comes ready to go with so much content that is already kid-safe. It is super easy to set up right out of the box and has easy to use parental controls. Kids cannot exit the kids interface without permission. That’s another thing I love. This is a regular Android tablet once you exit the kid controls so if your child outgrows it, it can still be used!
You can easily filter content, set screen time, and monitor activities to protect against harmful content with the pre-installed COPPA certified KIDOZ app and Family Link app. These will help put your mind at ease so that your kids can play without worry giving you some much needed quiet time. I’m not sure how we’d survive road trips without screens!
This tablet comes with Paint Box and a stylus for creativity and can also be great with educational apps. This mess-free way for your kids to draw and be creative is great for their imaginations. You can also download drawings and photo editing apps to let them draw, paint, doodle and more.
My daughter is almost 10 so she’s a little old for some of the pre-loaded content but she did find some things that she really enjoyed like the “cat videos” and some of the games. You can always add apps by downloading them from the app store to customize the tablet to your child’s preferences.
Another feature that I really appreciate is the HD IPS Display with Eye Protection. Kids spend so much time on screens these days we really should have some concern about their eyes!
Other key features of the new Y88X 7 Tablet include:
- GMS Certified Android 10 with full access to Google services such as Gmail, Youtube, Drive, and Maps when you exit Kids mode.
- 32GB built-in storage can be expanded up to 128GB via the microSD card slot so you can download more on Google Play.
- 8MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera allow your kids to take memorable videos, photos and selfies.
-
Adjustable shoulder strap means your little one can take their tablet wherever they go.
-
Rotatable handle for multiple viewing angles and hands-free viewing options.
Priced at $129.99, this Dragon Touch tablet is a great value, especially considering that it comes with a case and a wide variety of quality pre-loaded content. You can find out more about the Y88X 7 Tablet at dragontouch.com.
