During the holidays special meals are often served. Some families have special dishes that are a tradition. Green bean casserole is one of our Thanksgiving traditions but I love it so much that this year, I’ve decided it should be enjoyed for Christmas too! Normally I make it with canned green beans. I had never thought of using frozen but I love the idea! Birds Eye is helping families bring great vegetable dishes to the holiday table by making cooking easy enough for kids to help with and offering recipes so delicious you’ll want to enjoy them year round! Here’s their take on the green bean casserole.

I have really been loving the new Birds Eye Protein Blends. They are so easy and delicious to just head up and serve as-is. I like having the leftovers on my salad for lunch the next day. I especially love the Soutwest Style blend but there are 8 different varieties to choose from to satisfy any palette. The Southwest Style is a delicious blend of whole grains, black beans, corn, lentils, red bell peppers, and sauce. I love that my family is getting a protein boost along with their veggies!
