Over a year ago I had the opportunity to review the Key Ingredient Recipe Reader. I’ve been using it ever since. It’s super handy in the kitchen. This year, Key Ingredient has released a new version which is loaded with even more features than before! The style of it is a bit different too. The new one can stand vertically or horizontally. It’s easy to switch from one to the other just by flipping it. The stand works in both directions and the image on the screen flips automatically. Rather than being just a recipe reader like the previous version, this one is an actual tablet so that you can play music and videos, run games and apps or browse the web for more recipes!
Another really cool new feature is the text-to-speech technology. Your recipe can be read aloud to you as you cook! The tablet was specifically design for use in the kitchen and care was taken to make it heat and spill resistant with it’s silicon case that easy wipes clean. It also adds a layer of protection for falls and bumps because accidents happen!
One of my favorite things about the Key Ingredient Tablet is the Cookmark bookmarklet. When I’m online on my laptop and come across a recipe I want to try I can easily add it to my account and sync it to my tablet. There are over 2,000,000 recipes streamed from keyingredient.com but I can add in my own from anywhere!
Here are some additional benefits of the Key Ingredient Tablet:
- Make grocery shopping simple with on-the-go lists so you’ll never forget an ingredient
- Easily collect and organize your recipes
- Built in kitchen timer
Before I had Key Ingredient I had a mess of cookbooks, scraps of scribbled recipes, print outs of recipes and a notebook that was supposed to keep it all organized. Now everything is streamlined and I always know where to find my favorite recipes because they are always at my fingertips. I don’t consider myself a cook or a baker but like most people that have families, I do prepare recipes in the kitchen! The Key Ingredient Tablet is really useful for almost anyone. My hubby even uses it!
