Since it’s inception over 10 years ago, the Kohl’s Cares for Kids program has raised over $180 million dollars to benefit kids health and education initiatives nationwide. Their current program features author Anna Dewdney’s Llama Llama books and toys. Hardback copies of Llama Llama Red Pajama and Llama Llama Misses Mama along with Llama and zebra plush toys are available for only $5 each. 100 percent of the net profits go directly to the Kohl’s Cares for Kids program. Also for only $5 each are Top Secret Restaurant Recipes 2 and Top 100 Recipes for a Healthy Lunchbox. All are available for a limited time online at www.kohls.com and at Kohl’s stores nationwide.
My kids adore Llama Llamas book and they are some of my favorites to read to them as well. I love they way they rhyme and address emotions. These hardback books with a dust jacket are really nice quality and suitable for gift giving, especially when paired with one of the super soft plush toys that match.
I think it’s great that Kohl’s also offers books for adults as part of their Kohl’s Cares for Kids Program. I’m totally digging the Top Secret Restaurant Recipies 2 cookbook. I’ve already made Red Lobster’s Cheddar Bay Biscuits and they came out AWESOME. Easy recipe too! I’ve also made Outback’s Honey Mustard Dressing and have my eye on several more of my favorite recipes as these can save us some big bucks by recreating them at home rather than going out. This book is well worth the $5 price tag!
Top 100 Recipes for a Healthy Lunchbox really has some great ideas for packing healthy lunches for kids. It has tons of stuff I never even would have thought of and gets you thinking outside of the box with it’s creative recipes.
