I love guacamole but for some reason had never made it myself until recently. I was watching an episode of Queer Eye on Netflix the other day and Antoni demonstrated how easy it is to make. Right then I knew I had to try it. You might be able to find an actual recipe but I think most people just make it based on their personal taste and don’t really measure anything. Sometimes when I want a snack I just use a half of an avocado. You can make as big of a batch as you need. I used five avocados for a batch for a small party.
Start by mashing your avocado with a fork. Add in chopped cilantro, fresh squeezed lime, and some garlic salt to taste. You can also add some sour cream or plain greek yogurt if you like your guacamole a little creamier. I personally like a lot of lime in mine, especially now that I have a lime squeezer! Lime juice helps to keep your guacamole from turning brown and brings out the flavor.
I just got this metal 2-in-1 Lemon Lime Squeezer from Zulay. It makes it so easy to squeeze a lime (or lemon) and make sure you get the most juice out of it! You just cut your fruit in half, put it in the juicer and squeeze it together. There’s two different sections, one for a larger lemon or lime and a smaller section for a smaller piece of fruit.

If you prefer a more classic look you can get the stainless steel one or a black and red one. There are so many more uses for these besides making guacamole. I personally love the fragrance and flavor of lime so I cook with it pretty frequently. One of my favorite recipes is this Cilantro Lime Chicken. I also love Cilantro Lime Rice as a side for a lot of dishes.
