Every fall I get the urge to get a new hair do and update my makeup look. It might be due to the turning of the seasons or perhaps the fact that my birthday is in October and I tend to have a little birthday money to spend on myself. Either way, I alway send up with some new makeup.
Merle Norman Cosmetics recently released their new Fall Color Collection, City Chic. I got a chance to try the City Chic Palette and it’s gorgeous! From the skyline design on the outside to the stunning colors on the inside, this palette was exactly what I had been craving!
I love the pretty, neutral matte colors but the shimmering shades are what got me! Try the new halo eye trend by applying a darker shade on the inner and outer corners of your kids then add a shimmery color to center for an instant halo effect!
The shades in this palette were designed to enhance your natural eye color or to provide a bit of dazzle. This limited edition set includes four metallic shades (Glisten, Burnished, Sage, and Illusion) and six matte shades (Contrast, Playful, Nighttime, Honeyed, Power and Soft). It also comes with a dual-ended brush for application. It retails for $50 and would make a great holiday gift for any makeup lover!
I had a little fun with the Sage color as liner on my upper and lower eyelids. I love the little pop of color that switching things up from my normal neutrals. I can’t wait to experiment more with the Playful and Honeyed colors since those are also quite a bit different from colors I would normally use and don’t have anything like them in other palettes I have.
The colors are so blendable and buildable so you can go from subtle to dramatic depending on your preference. No matter what you choose, you’ll look beautiful with these gorgeous colors to make your eyes stand out. This palette is just one item from the City Chic Collection.
