A giant briefcase showed up on my doorstep a few days ago. In it contained a mission from Swiffer WetJet. I am always up for a challenge so I chose to accept my mission and Operation Enduring Clean was in effect.
My detective kit came with some evidence to plant- a jar of jelly which I was supposed spill on my floor and let dry. Since I have a two year old and an 8 month old I had plenty of “evidence” of my own on my kitchen floor:
That is banana goo squished and dried to the floor. There was plenty more evidence where that came from. After discovering all of this evidence, it was time to put my detective skills to work:
After some documentation, I swept up all of the loose Cheerios off the floor, assembled the handle of the WetJet, installed the batteries and cleaning agent and cleaning pad and I was ready for action. With the touch of a button, the cleaning agent was dispensed through dual nozzles and I “swiffered” effortlessly around my kitchen. The banana goo and other unidentified messes needed a little extra scrubbing. The scrubbing strip on top of the Swiffer WetJet was helpful in eliminating these but flipping it over to put it to use was slightly awkward. The cleaning agent, while not unpleasant, had a strong fragrance. I usually clean with natural products and was a little concerned about the ingredients in the solution. But the WetJet got the job done. The dirt on the used cleaning pad was appalling- it really should be a crime to let my floor get that dirty! My floor is so clean now, it’s hardly recognizable (at least until after lunch) Mission accomplished!

I love my wetjet,but I find that sometimes, after the floor is dry, I need to go over it a second time or it looks a little filmy. Of course, this is usually when it's been weeks since the last cleaning.
