As we settled into quarantine I took a lot of comfort of all the reminders of things to be thankful for around my house. We are going on year 8 in our current house. It has taken me a LONG time to get photos up and decorate. First of all, I’m just not very good at decorating and can be very indecisive because I am unsure of what looks good. Second, I find hanging photos and wall art intimidating for some reason. I’m afraid I’ll put a million holes in the wall trying to get things hung correctly. This year I’ve really thrown all caution to the wind and decided I’d rather have things on the wall imperfectly than none at all!
These are a few of the things I’ve really enjoyed being displayed in our home. We are very thankful for our family and while it can get a little overwhelming at times, we’ve taken advantage of the extra time at home together. I’ve had more time to cook for my family and to take care of the house too!
Back in December I got a great piece of art from Canvas on Demand that inspired me to finally hang a gallery wall that I had been planning for years. I also ordered another piece of art that I hung but that wasn’t complete. This “Our Adventures” piece has been hanging in our hallway just waiting for photos of our family adventures. I wasn’t sure how to pull it off until I discovered Mixtiles which held all the answers!
Mixtiles is an affordable photo display product that gives you a hassle-free way to hang photos of all your favorite memories. Currently they only offer 8″ x 8″ photo tiles that stick and re-stick to your walls without nails. They use a special adhesive that won’t damage or leave marks on your walls. Turns out, this size tile was the perfect size for my photo project!
