I can’t believe I haven’t posted this one yet. It’s my all time favorite dessert and I have been craving it all week! The first time I had it, it was the 4th of July so for some reason I always think of it as festive dessert (for Memorial Day- as if I needed a reason to make it) 🙂
Pretzel Salad
Crust: 1 1/2 cups crushed pretzels, 3/4 cup melted butter, 4 T. sugar. Mix together, spread in a 9×13 baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool.
Mix 2 8 oz packages of cream cheese, 1 cup sugar. Blend in one medium container of cool whip. Spread on crust. Chill 30 minutes.
Dissolve 6 oz berry jello in 2 cups boiling ater. Add one bag frozen berries. Poor over cream cheese mixture. Chill til set.
Don’t be scared of the pretzel crust- it tastes sort of like toffee and this dessert has the PERFECT mix of sweet, salty and sour. Sooooo gooooood! 🙂
