If you have girls you’ve probably noticed the popularity of the mythical creature, the unicorn. And if you have kids of any gender, I am sure you’re aware of the slime craze. Mythical Slime combines these two trends in their line of unique slime and putty. Slime is stretchier than putty and can dry out. Putty is firmer and will never dry out. The slime comes in a small bucket while the putty comes in a tin with a tight cap. Both are great for sensory play for people of all ages!
I love the whimsical design on the tins. We got to try Unicorn Sweat, Unicorn Dreams and Unicorn Kiss, all unique putties that are super fun to play with.
Unicorn Kiss is a color changing putty. The temperature of the putty allows it to change from pink to purple or purple to pink. It’s been warm here so the putty is pink. We have to use something cold to get it to change to purple. This putty also has glitter in it!
Unicorn Sweat is a clear iridescent putty. This one seems a little softer to me than the other putties. I love the description from the website on this one:
Gathered from the sweat of 1000 unicorns brows, this clear putty is like no other. Crystal clear and sticky, it shines with a lavender light from within. Capturing the sweat was a true labor of love, but the results truly shine. Hold it up and turn it around in the light to see the magic of lights dancing inside the putty.

Last but not least in the putty department is Unicorn Dreams. The golden green colors of this one are mesmerizing the way they change with every bend and squish. Even I love stretching and pulling this putty. It is really cool.
For the slime, we chose Unicorn Singularity Soap Bubble Slyme, a bubble gum pink concoction. Slyme is glossy, not sticky and unlike putty it is easy to clean off hair and carpets. The best thing about this slime is the “farting” noises it can make. This is another one that I find irresistible. It is really fun to play with!
As a parent I underestimated the power of slyme and putty. When my girls saw these products sitting on the counter when they came home from school they offered up their services for a chance to open and play with them. “Mom, what can we help you with?” Those words are practically mythical around our house! I was working in the yard so they did an hour of weeding and then asked what else they could help with. They’ve since thanked me several times and told me over and over how much they love this stuff!
