Try Essential Oils In Your Paint!
I’m giving my bathroom a makeover. Most of it is finished but I’ve been putting off painting. It always takes longer than I think it will but since paint makes such a big difference, I didn’t want the makeover to go without. This particular bathroom doesn’t have a window to the outdoors and like most bathrooms, isn’t very large. I bought a low odor paint but took it a step further by adding some essential oils to it and it smelled amazing!
I saw someone mention doing this on Facebook. I wish I could remember who it was so I could credit them because I don’t think painting will ever be the same again! I added about 10 drops of Young Living’s Purification blend to the paint in the paint tray and mixed it up a little. Purification is used for deodorizing and neutralizing the air. It contains citronella so it can also be used to deter insects too. This was my first experience using this blend and I think it will quickly become one of my favorites. It smells so good! It’s a clean fresh scent I can’t get enough of!
Purification blend contains Lemongrass, Rosemary, Melaleuca (M. alternifolia), Myrtle and Citronella. I can mostly smell the lemongrass and citronella and it’s so refreshing!
I’m having so much fun experimenting with the essential oils from my Young Living Starter kit. Watch for more ways to use all of these wonderful oils in the coming weeks and months and if you have any questions, be sure to give me a shout!
This is the starter kit I purchased. It contains 10 of the most commonly used oils and blends, an awesome diffuser, samples and more. I’m making home cleaning products, home fragrance and aromatherapy products as well as using them for wellness and loving every minute of it! I got this kit at a wholesale discount and you can too! I’ve also turned my new love of essential oils into a side business. It’s a great way to add extra household income working from home and making your own hours. You’ll find more info on the “Essential Oils” tab at the top of the page and I’m always available to chat if you have any questions about using oils or the business side of things — happy to chat! I never would of thought of this.
Thanks for the post.
