Pampers is having a year-long Miracle Missions campaign (with the help of Points of Light Institute) which delivers acts of kindness to babies and their families, encouraging parents to support others. Through Facebook, Pampers is giving baby showers to 1,000 moms across the United States.
While we are all in the giving mood, Mission #2 needs 4,000 people to commit to finding a way for fathers to bond with their babies. With Father’s Day fast approaching, it’s great to give back to dads. Run errands, do chores at home, or do what you can so he has free time to spend with his child(ren).
In honor of Pampers’ wonderful initiative, we are giving away a $300 American Express gift card to spend on a completely awesome baby shower. Tell us in our comments section what you would do with this gift card and describe your ideal baby shower. Maybe you’d just like to pay it forward and give the gift card to an expectant parent that needs the money to buy diapers, wipes, a crib, etc… Tell us why that person is deserving and in need. We’d love to see our readers pay it forward.

I would love to throw a “Welcome the baby” shower for my cousin! She just had her first little girl, she already has three little boys…she’ll need lots of girl things!
Ideally it would be for my shower. I had my son almost four months ago and we are a single income family. We had some stuff from my daughter but, we still need a crib for him. He is sleeping in a pack n play right now. If I was to throw a shower for someone else it would be for my Brother and his wifes baby that is due end of July!

I would throw a shower for my friend who is pregnant for the first time after ten years of trying.
My ideal shower would be ALL practical stuff so that I didn’t have to buy anything for the baby’s first six months.
I’d throw a shower for the women I volunteer for at a local charity for unwed and/or addicted mothers and their children. Many of the girls are on public assistance and cannot afford to eat healthy meals. I’d prepare wholesome, fresh, organic appetizers and snacks (I also teach cooking classes on occasion) . I’d have a diaper cake instead of a regular cake, though I would make an assortment of cupcakes in different varieties.
I would use the $300 giftcard to create a wonderful Farm/barnyard baby animal theme for my sister’s baby shower. She married a farmer, and money is tight- wet spring delayed crops.
I’d love this for my nephew and his wife, who are having their first. Because they just moved far away to a new town and don’t know anyone yet, I’d give them the gift card to buy whatever they needed for the baby.

I would love to host a baby shower for my SIL. My brother and her are expecting their first child,a girl next month. She has had a difficult pregnany due to a medical anomaly and at the age of 38 worries this will be their only child. My mother passed away 7 years ago,we have no other family really and her family lives 3000 miles away. So as the only female relitive nearby I’ve tried to be her support system and love buying gifts for my soon to be niece.
My husband works with a young woman who has a 2 year old boy…her husband now has been unemployed for 7 months….when my husband and I desperately needed help when our first child was born….many people were very generous with their time and bought us needed items…so I know first hand what it is to be in need..I would like to give this card to help them out
