I love sharing classic kids movies with my kids. Disney’s timeless tale Pinocchio is now available for the first time on Digital HD, Disney Movies Anywhere, Blu-ray and DVD and includes hours of new and classic bonus features. Did you know that Pinocchio is considered on of the greatest animated films ever made? It won two Academy Awards and is now a part of the Walt Disney Signature Collection.
I love the music in the old Disney classics and Pinocchio is no exception! In fact, the Academy Awards were for best original score and best original song “When You Wish Upon a Star” which also scored a rare 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Of course the movie itself is also a worthy watch. “Pinocchio tells the tale of wood-carver Geppetto’s beloved puppet who embarks on a thrilling quest – with faithful friend Jiminy Cricket – that tests his bravery, loyalty and honesty, all virtues he must learn to fulfill his heart’s desire: to become a real boy.”
My 8 year old was fascinated with the movie and after watching it wanted to watch it again immediately when a friend came over that had never seen it before. That’s when you know the magic of Disney — that a movie over 70 years old still entertains the children of today.
