There’s nothing my oldest daughter loves more than an edible craft so it was no surprise that she was crazy about the Rainbow Gummy Candy Lab. This kit comes with everything you need to make your own gummy candies including several flavors of gelatin mixture, citric acid to make sour gummies, a mold and even little baggies with sticker labels to package your completed project!
Step by step directions made it easy for my 11 year old to handle this project without any help from me which is always a bonus. She whipped up a batch of gummies to share with the family and was surprised how quickly they set up and were ready to enjoy. She loved the unicorn, cloud, and rainbow shapes and was pleased with the outcome of her first experiment.
These aren’t as chewy as your typical gummy candy so the texture is a little different. My kids still loved them. They especially liked the flavor of the blue raspberry. Other flavors including vanilla, banana, and cherry. When you add citric acid to any of the flavors it makes them sour!
This kit is super fun but it’s also educational! Crafters learn about the scientific properties of natural polymers as they cook up these delicious treats! You can find out more about this products and other great products at www.thamesandkosmos.com.
