Readeo Review & Giveaway

As you may already be all to aware – when you live in New York and Grandma lives in California, it’s very difficult to build and maintain a strong relationship between your kids and your mom.  Your child may be happy to sit for twenty minutes reading a book at bedtime, but there is no way you can get them to sit in front of a computer for that long video chatting with Grandma or Aunt Brenda.  Readeo is a brand new website that combines the technology of video chat with some of the industry’s best books, to bring people together and bring “story time” online.  What a wonderful way to spend time with loved ones, near and far!

Here’s how it works: Readeo combines children’s books with high-quality video chat to create a shared reading experience called BookChat where people can see, hear, read and interact with grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and others -just as you would if you were in the same room.  Readeo allows families to connect and interact in a meaningful way -even when they may be far apart.

Readeo is such a cool site with a very awesome concept!  I am crazy about my family and not one of my fabulous family members live close to me.  Nowadays families wind up spread out all over the country -and world, including grandparents, divorced families, military families, and professionals who work long hours or travel often for work.  Readeo will be able to provide loved ones living apart with wonderful memories and draw them back together.

Readeo is geared towards families with children between the ages of 0 and 8 and has titles from well known publishers including Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing, Candlewick Press, Blue Apple Book and Chronicle Books, subscribers have a diverse online library to choose from.

Readeo is extremely user-friendly with a lot of very helpful features, including customized/personalized “bookshelves” and book reviews.  They also have an easy-to-use library that is searchable by age, gender and subject matter.
