I know it’s only just barely October, but lets talk Christmas gifts. I like to at least have a game plan in mind so that when December arrives I don’t completely stress out. My girls have October and December birthdays and already have plenty of toys. I’m also a pretty practical person so I try to think of things that people can actually use but might not necessarily purchase for themselves. Another thing I like to do is give “family” gifts — rather than purchase a gift for each person in a family I might put together a family game night or movie night gift basket that they can all enjoy together.
Now that my kids are getting a little bit older I’m a little more conscious of trying to “keep it fair” whether it’s number of gifts or value of gifts. There are less than two years between each of my kids buying them similar things has been pretty easy. Last year they each got a canvas tote bag with a fleece blanket inside. The girls got princess blankets while my son got an Angry Birds one. When we go on day trips they use their bags to pack a few toys or activities and the blankets are used often too — they love them!
Just because something is practical doesn’t make it a boring gift. REDUCE makes water bottles for the whole family that come in really cool prints, patterns and colors. I’m especially a fan of the WaterWeek line. We drink a lot of water at our house and having cold bottles ready to grab either for at home or on the go is super convenient. But I hate the waste. With WaterWeek, each family member can have their own set of five water bottles kept in the fridge in a neat and tidy tray. These bottles are reusable so there is no waste! There will be no arguing over whose water is whose because your bottles will be unique to you.
Each set comes with 5 bottles with regular caps and a five slot fridge tray. Chose from 16 oz or 10 oz BPA free, dishwasher safe bottles. Replacement caps are available as well as sport caps which we prefer as they tend to get lost a lot less and keep spills to a minimum.
We use our bottles around the hosue but what they’re really great for is grabbing for on the run. I like always having water with me so rarely leave the house without a bottle. They’re great for sports games and practices too!
Drinking water is not only a good health decision but it can save a lot of money off of your grocery bill when you replace soda and juice. WaterWeek bottles make this decision easy and fun! Just check out all of the awesome bottle options:
They’ve got great options for adults too. I love my set:
