My youngest child is ten. Christmases are phasing out from toys galore to a handful of small electronics and higher priced gifts. My baby still enjoys stuffed animals though, especially if they are of the dog variety. All three of my kids want a real live dog SO bad but we haven’t been in a position to make that happen. I know a stuffed pet isn’t a replacement but they’ll still put a smile on her face.
Parker is going to LOVE Rescue Tales Adoptable Pets. These cute plush pets wag their tail, nod their head and make adorable puppy sounds. Each pet comes with a wipe-away tear, customizable doghouse, collar and adoption certificate. They are available in different breeds. Parker is getting a soft, huggable, snuggly German Shepherd. Dalmatian, Rottweiler, and Golden Retriever are also available.
She’s going to love the dog and will really enjoy customizing the doghouse. The box the pet comes in flips inside out and is ready to be colored and decorated! I love that it comes with a fun project to go along with the furry pet. Another thing I really love is that Rescue Tales supports Best Friends® Animal Society. Adopting a Rescue Tales pet is a great way to learn about what it is like to adopt a real rescue pet because all animals deserve a safe & loving place to call home.
Along with this gift I’ll also be letting my kids know that we signed up with a local shelter to become day fosters. This means we can take adoptable pets out for the day to go hiking or to spend an overnight at our house. They are going to be so excited!

Rescue Tales also has a Cuddly Pup line of plush toys. These feature a unique removable, microwave safe pouch that stays warm for up to 20 minutes and makes them extra snuggly. Kids can write their new pet’s name on the included collar, fill out the adoption certificate and wipe away a tear from Cuddly Pup’s eye. There are three breeds of Cuddly Pups to choose from — Beagle, Yorkie and Frenchie.
Both of these toys would make great gifts for an little animal lovers on your holiday shopping list. You can find out more at www. littletikes.com.

This is adorable! Wish I’d seen this before I did my Christmas shopping as there’s a couple relatives I’d definitely buy this for. I’m very active in animal rescue and am strongly supportive of people adopting from shelters and rescues. Love that you’re being a day foster! It’s wonderful for the dogs to get a break from the shelter and spend some time again in a home environment and have mental and physical stimulation. Be sure to take cute photos while you have your foster as having great photos and videos online is key to getting them adopted. Plus, it helps the shelter learn how the dog behaves outside of the shelter, which they can share with potential adopters to help them find their forever home! Hope you post about your foster experience to encourage others to look into what their local shelter offer!
Those are so cute! I know several kids who would love them.
