When my son was 4 months old and we first started feeding him we used a bouncy chair which was too reclined or our Bumbo which was too upright. I knew we needed a high chair but we didn’t have a lot of money to spend or a lot of extra room for a big high chair. I found the Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair and we LOVE it!
It’s recommended for ages 6 months to 3 years. It straps safely and easily to almost any dining or kitchen chair. The full sized pad can easily be removed to wash and it’s made of a material that can be wiped down for daily use.
One thing I really love about this high chair, besides the great price (around $50) is the fact that it has three different reclining positions which were great for the first feedings and grew with our son until he could eat fully upright.
The tray has a “one handed” feature so that you can remove the tray with one hand and still have an extra hand free for other things.
The pad and back can be removed to make the high chair into a booster seat. We haven’t reached that point yet but I have faith that we’ll love the booster just as much as the high chair.
Another nice things about this highchair is that it is small enough to take along with you on vacation on wherever you might need a high chair.
I ordered our high chair through Amazon.com (best price, free shipping). When it arrived the writing on the tray handle that had the Fisher-Price logo on it had stuck to the chair pad leaving an ink stain. I called customer service and they sent me a new pad AND a new tray right away.
I don’t think there is anything I don’t like about this high chair. I’d highly recommend it to anyone in the market for one!
