A representative from Gerber sent me the information above along with some samples for my two year old son to try. Toddlers are finicky eaters and mine is no exception. I like having this type of nutritional beverage on hand for days when he just doesn’t seem to be eating much of anything. He always likes milk and these “milk boxes” are a special treat to him. I was lucky and found a "Try it Free!" one last month and I'm glad I did…my 2 year old twins did NOT like them at all! I got the Vanilla flavor. They love juice boxes and smoothies and I told them it was like a milkshake..but they wanted nothing to do with them. My husband then used them to make a fruit/yogurt smoothie and they still seemed to detect the taste in them. I had to admit, they smelled/tasted like a vitamin…
Barbara, I agree, they do smell like vitamins and I was a little surprised that my son likes them. He likes the Boost kids drinks as well. I think part of it is the fact that he thinks anything in a box with a straw is a treat 🙂
