My daughter’s first birthday is on Friday. Between her birthday and Christmas I am willing to bet that she will be receiving at least a couple of dolls as gifts. They will have a hard time competing with her new Adorable Kinders Rag Doll. I was given the opportunity to select a doll for this review. They were all so cute it was hard to pick. I decided to get the one that I thought looked the most like McKinley. The doll’s name is Sierra and she came dressed in a summery orange top and capris with matching orange maryjanes. She also had a coordinating bow clipped into her soft hair. According to the card that came with her, her qualities are compassion and understanding. She’s soft and lovable. Her clothes are easily removed and dressing her is not difficult. She has a sweet smile on her face and she truly is adorable. Adorable Kinders has created a line of high quality rag dolls for little girls and boys that have won several awards including the Dr. Toy 2009 10 Best Toys Award, the Toy Man Seal of Approval, Award of Excellence, eChoice Award, and Eco-Recognition award.
The background: Aranza Zamora made her first doll for her baby sister when she was just 16 years old. Over the years she made dolls for friends and family and each one was better than the last. While raising three children she worked in several different careers including one as a school teacher. During that time she created a concept for educating children through play with dolls and computer games. Her oldest child, Ivan, was her biggest supporter. They worked together to bring the concept to life. Just when things were coming together Ivan passed away from a very rare heart condition that had gone unnoticed. He was only 24 years old. Aranza gave up on the project.
A few years later she met someone special who discovered her talent when she made one of her dolls as a birthday gift for the daughter of a friend. It took some coaxing but after about a year he finally convinced her to give her doll business another go. This would be her son’s legacy. In 2007 Adorable Kinders was born. Together with her partner, they run a successful business in Florida.
The dolls: Each 18″ Adorable Kinders Rag Doll comes dressed in a removable outfit with separate underwear, socks and shoes. They were designed to be loved. They are durable and machine washable. They are lovable- no hard plastic parts- just soft cloth. The stuffing is made from non-allergenic 100% polyester.
Every doll has a name. There are 26 different dolls-one for each letter of the alphabet. A- Alise, B-Brittany, C-Christy and so on. There are 8 boys and 18 girls with different hair colors and skin tones.
Each doll comes with an Adorable Kinders eSchool Certificate of Registration, an internet key-code to register online at the Adorable Kinders School. After registering, children can play educational games that make learning fun. Preschool and grades K-12 are taught at the Adorable Kinders school. When all of the games for a grade level are successfully completed, the child graduates to the next grade.

Holy Mackeral! My baby will be 1 on Friday too! Happy big #1 to them both!!
Happy Birthday to your baby too! I can't believe it's been a year already! I was snuggling with my daughter last night on the couch and remembering back to snuggling her in that very spot in middle of the night almost a year ago when we brought her home. They grow up way too fast!
