You find the perfect toy. You are sure your child is going to love it. And they do. For about 5 minutes. The next thing you know, it’s tossed aside in favor of the latest Happy Meal toy. It happens to the best of us but I am about to tell you about a toy that has been proven to be loved for 9 months and beyond. In a recent poll conducted by Baby Cheapskate, Automoblox were among the list of “Toys That Get Played With” in the 2.5 to 4 year old age range. You know what else is among the list of things that get played with? Building blocks, cars/trucks, shape sorters and puzzles. It’s no wonder Automoblox made the list- it combines all of these things!
Desinger Patrick Calello’s vision was to create a toy that inspires the next generation of great thinkers and creators. His concept is simple, yet simply amazing. Each Automoblox car which is primarily made out of solid beech wood, has removable pieces which can be interchanged with different car designs to create your own unique model. The futuristic looking translucent roofs are made out of polycarbonate making them indestructible. The wheels are also molded with polycarbonate and come with interchangeable real rubber treads.
The full sized Automoblox have removable connectors which are the pieces that allow interchangeability. The mini cars use a universal connector which allows for a more rapid change of parts. The full sized cars also have interchangeable drivers/passengers called “Smart People”. The shaped base of each driver challenges children’s cognitive development as they fit the shape into the car’s seat. Don’t make the mistake of thinking these toys are just for kids. They are so stylish and such a high quality product that they would make an excellent gift for any car enthusiast. In fact, I am considering getting my dad a set for Christmas. A mini set is going in my two year old’s stocking and my son is still learning to share. I don’t want those two fighting over them! I am 100% positive that these will be toys that get played with. Seriously, how cool is this truck?
