This review is written by one of our guest bloggers, Rachel, who has just become a stay at home mom while she awaits her second child due in August.
I try to always live my life in a positive way, thinking positive thoughts and making sure to look at things in a “glass half full” kind of way. It’s not easy sometimes! Joyce Meyer, who has been working with ministries of her own and others for many years, wrote a book called “Battlefield of the Mind”, that has been developed into a DVD aimed at helping people overcome negative thoughts and become responsible for their own joy.
The main idea of the video is how important it is to think positively, to spend our time thinking positive thoughts and doing positive actions. If we allow ourselves to, we will spend our time thinking about what is wrong with us, our lives, and the people around us. It is framed in the context of religion, which doesn’t necessarily appeal to me but may to many people. The basic message is a good one – stop wasting your life complaining and concentrate on the blessings of life – both appreciating what you already have and working to give and receive more.
The target market for this video is definitely the Christian segment, or anyone wanting to discover more about religion. To get an idea of what this DVD is like, you can watch a five minute preview here. The suggested retail price is $24.97. It is available here for $22.49.
