Bio-plastic is a new generation of durable plastics which are derived from renewable plant sources. Since regular plastics can be harmful to the environment it’s important to find sustainable alternatives. Nature Next has put out a line of Bio-Plastic products to help parents engage in a more green lifestyle. Nature Next products are produced from starch-based resins that will break down naturally rather than contribute to landfills like other types of plastics that take over 500 years to decompose.
We had the opportunity to review a Nature Next Infant-to-Toddler Bathtub made from 50% bio-plastic. I wasn’t sure what to expect but in my mind, the plastic couldn’t possibly strong and sturdy. I thought it would be flimsy, sort of like a pop bottle. I was way off base! The Safety 1st Nature Next tub is very durable. It features SlideGuard technology to help prevent slipping and accessory holders for bathing essentials. But my favorite feature is the shower hook for easy drying. Just hang it up in the shower to drip dry!
