P.F. Changs, a favorite restaurant of my hubby and myself, has just climbed a little higher on our list. They have recently introduced a children’s menu and our family of 4 was given the opportunity to test it out with a free gift card. My husband had Friday off so we decided to go out for lunch. We arrived at P.F. Changs when they opened and were cheerfully greeted by the hostess. My children who are 2 and 8 months old, were strapped into our double stroller. After we were shown to our table and had the children situated in the highchairs they had set up for us she offered to park our stroller up front for us. We appreciated the help.
- Chicken served with honey or sweet and sour dipping sauce
- Kid’s Lo Mein
- Kid’s Chicken Fried Rice
- Baby Buddha’s Feast, a feast of steamed or stir-fried veggies.
All meals come with a child size beverage in a take-home cup with a lid and straw and are priced under $5. We ordered the Kid’s Lo Mein for Jackson and McKinley to share and all of our favorites for ourselves including the chicken lettuce wraps appetizer (YUM!). As the food came out, our waiter was very careful not to set the plates where our children could grab them. We were very pleasantly surprised with the kids meal. The portion was quite large- it was enough to feed both of them- TWICE (they had the leftovers for dinner) and my daughter went to TOWN- she ate more than I’ve ever seen her eat! Priced at only $3.95, we thought it was an excellent value!
We were very happy with our meals and the service that was provided. The only concern we had was with the silverware. It is quite large even for adult hands and they didn’t have anything smaller for children. They were able to find a plastic fork for my son to use and we were happy with that solution. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely take our kids with us again.
