“For the past eleven years Carson–Dellosa Publishing Company, has been helping parents prevent summer learning loss through its award-winning, teacher recommended Summer Bridge Activities workbook series. The workbooks review the year the child has just completed and previews the year they are about to enter. Summer Bridge workbooks consist of daily activities in math and language arts with bonus activities in science, social studies and geography.
The newly revised 2010 Summer Bridge Activities workbook series offers an efficient, inexpensive solution for parents looking for help in supporting their children academically. The recommended two pages of workbook activities require just 15 minutes per day to help children keep their academic skills sharp and costs $14.95.”
I received a P-K Summer Activities book for my review. My oldest is only three so he’s not ready for all of the activities in these books yet. He was very interested in them however, so we adapted our own little lessons. Some of them are harder than others (for his age) but we like the challenge! The illustrations and activities make these books more fun than “work”. In addition to the actual work pages, the book includes some great ideas to incorporate into every day activities to help keep your children engaged and thinking. I think Summer Bridge Activity books are a great tool for parents and something the kids will actually enjoy.
The P-K book had lessons in strength of character, respect, and taking turns as well as exercises in confidence building and more in addition to reading, writing, math and language skills. Summer reading lists and motivational calendars are also included.
Summer Bridge Activity Books are available in Preschool- 8th grade for $14.95 each. Enter to win 3 books of your choice by filling out the form below. Also, be sure to check out all of our other giveaways HERE.
