Choosing a carrier can be hard. There are so many options – wraps, slings, pouches, which one is going to work for you? Roundhouse Design Collaborative (the makers of the Oh-Plah bracelet Holly reviewed HERE) has come up with a solution that combines a few of the best solutions – the ease of a pouch type sling, with the adjustability that comes with some of the more complicated buckle carriers. For me, the fact that it is adjustable is very important because I don’t want to be the only person in my house who can use it! I’m sure we can all agree that daddies wearing babies is about the cutest thing ever, so why get a sling based on S-M-L sizing that probably won’t fit both of you?
The Roundhouse Baby Carrier offers 6 different positions to carry your baby in and can be used from birth – 35 lbs. It is easily adjustable using a heavy-duty clamp that holds securely but isn’t cumbersome at all, and both side rails are adjustable and well padded. I have tried both the cradle carry and the upright cradle carry and both work very well with my (quite large) 7 week old. I can’t wait to try the other carrys when he starts holding his head up well!
The adjustments can take a little time to get used to, but once you try it a few times it gets much easier. The sling is easy to put on and take off, which is a huge plus when you’re trying to get stuff done and you have a fussy baby! It is available in 8 original colors and 6 organic cotton styles. The very first time I used it, my baby fell right asleep and took his longest nap of the day while I washed dishes and did laundry! Win, win!
